Remember how there was just a fundraiser reading for Belladonna* in Florence, MA? Well, now there’s one happening in New York—details below! And you can get those tickets (for $15 and up) here. I’m headed down for this, so hopefully I will literally see you there?
Please join us in celebrating 25 years of Belladonna! On Friday December 13th, we will be at the Wandering Barman, a women-owned cocktail bar and event space in Brooklyn, for a night of poetry, music, and dancing.
We are offering tickets on a sliding scale. If you are able to purchase a higher ticket, please do! As a 501c3, all tickets come with a Charities Donation Receipt. Ticket revenue will go towards supporting Belladonna Programming in 2025.
Schedule as Follows:
7:00 PM Doors Open
7:30-8:30 Readings from Ry Cook, Jameson Fitzpatrick, Rachel Levitsky, and LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs.
9-10:45 DJ Set by Sunny Cheeba; Tarot Readings from James Loop; and dessert courtesy of Edy's Grocer.
There will also be cocktails and mocktails available for purchase, alongside Belladonna* books, chaplets, and totes!
Mask Policy:
As a team we’ve thought a lot about how to make sure this event remains accessible, while also being realistic about the risk caused from serving food and beverages in an enclosed space. As a result, our masking policy is as follows:
1. Poetry Reading: Mask Required. We are asking audience members to mask for the reading, with the exception of the poets reading on stage. Masks will be provided at the door.
2. Food & Dance Party: Mask Optional. After the reading, we will have some dessert provided by Edy's Grocer. As we transition into dancing and eating, the event will become mask optional.
We encourage folx to test before the event and to stay home if they feel sick. Please note, two air-purifiers will also be running for the entirety of the event.
